Firedrills and Apple Trees

Today at work, we had a firedrill. My team planned ahead a bit and thought, "Instead of sitting in the lawn somewhere while we wait to get let back in, let's go for a walk during the firedrill."

And that we did. While on our "Walk at Work" we came upon an apple tree...right there on company property. There were a ton of good looking apples just waiting to be picked...so we jumped right in.

There we were picking apples in our heels and business attire...listening to the sound of a fire alarm. It is a good thing Laura brought her pashmina to work today. We used it as a sling to hold all of our loot:)

We received a couple funny looks on our way back into the building with our arms, scarfs and pockets full of apples, but it was worth it, it made for a nice adventure in the middle of our day.

We already tried the apples and they are delicious!

  3. Sounds like a good way to pass the time.
That is ironic that G Mills has apple trees on the property. Maybe you guys are on to something as far as some advertising ideas!
