3 Months
Easter Sunday marked 3 months since Ellis arrival!
Time is flying and he is changing by the day.
He is laughing and cooing and loves it when we talk to him.
He especially loves to watch Bennett and Tatum playing. He is a people watcher and is very content in a crowd of people where he can look around.
He is starting to notice when everyone is out of sight and he whines a little....like hey come back...I need somebody to talk to.
He is drooling like a champ....could teeth be on the way already...who knows!?
Spitting up is pretty common for him too but the reflux medicine keeps him happy so it does not seem to bother him.
His 3 months clothes are getting small on him. Time to get out the 3-6 month bin.
His legs now both seem to be kicking...whew...at the 2 month mark, one leg was hardly moving while the other was always moving. Glad all seems to be normalizing in that department.
He eats 5 ounces every 3 to 4 hours during the day.
And the 22nd of April marked his first full night sleeping through the night.
8:30 pm until 6 am...
and the 23rd of April he did it again.
I know there is always some ups and downs with sleep progression but lets hope this is here to stay!
Before that he was up once in the night so he was going about 5 to 6 hours in between night feedings. Still pretty good, but 9 hours is even better!
One exciting thing that happened this month was Ellis' first debut on stage. He was cast as Baby Jesus for the Living Stations at church and he did a marvelous job. He was content as could be on stage with his Stage Mom, Mary, and his stage dad, Joseph. And his precious little face and big eyes drew lots of ooohs and ahhhs from the crowd. I'll post more on this a little later, but he even got a little press in the Catholic Spirit Newspaper.

I started back at work this week, so Ellis started going to Grandma Rita's daycare. The first day he hardly napped at all. I think he was loving all the commotion. Wasn't about to miss any of the action with a nap. And day 2 he took a 3 hour nap...all tired out from his new friends at daycare.
It is so fun to see him at the end of a long day and his smiles just melt me when I pick him up. I swear he looked longer when I picked him up from daycare yesterday. In one day, I think he grew!
We had fun celebrating Easter as a family and the hope and joy that the Resurrection brings.
The arrival of Ellis this year brought a whole new reason to celebrate.
He wasn't able to enjoy any of the Easter candy but he got some new shoes and socks in his basket this year:)
Next year buddy...next year.

Happy Birthday Pat
Welcome to 31. I think you will enjoy it because it's a lot like 30 except slightly closer to 40.
The kids helped with your birthday cake and tatum even managed to singe her hair on the birthday candles.....ooopsies.

Bird Watching
This weekend Pat tackled one of the many home improvement projects that has been on our list since last summer....
putting in a new patio door.
Saturday was the one day we had open in the month of April so that was go day.
Thank Heavens his brother in law Jason was willing and able to help because when I saw those guys carrying that door around the house, I new there was no way I would have been able to assist with that!
So instead my job through most of the project was bird watching....my biggest fear was that a bird would fly in while there was a huge gaping hole in our house....so I appointed myself as the chief birdwatcher to ensure that did not happen!
Now the door is in, with no room for birds or critters.
It still needs trim and paint and that will have to wait....but as long as the hole in the house is gone, I can rest easy.

2 Months
Month 2 was a big month for Ellis.
His sleep stalled out a bit in the middle of month 2 but it was clear that it was because he was uncomfortable. As soon as we got him on gas drops and reflux medication, his sleep was instantly better. Back to 4/5ish hour stretches at night and two hour naps a few times a day.
His usual routine is a bottle around 10 at night. Then he goes down for the night and sleeps until 2:30ish. He eats a few ounces and is back to sleep until 7 or so. He eats 4 ounces each feeding and eats every 4 hours. Before his reflux meds he was wanting to eat every couple hours but I think it was more out of wanting to be soothed from the discomfort rather than actual hunger.
At 2 Months old, Ellis weighed in at 11.2 lbs (19 %) and his height grew to 22.8 inches (33%).
He surprised the heck out of all of us when he rolled over for the first time at the pediatrician's office. He was on the exam table on his tummy and with one little push he flipped himself right over. We were both a little stunned. I knew he was strong but that caught me by surprise. I guess he busts out all of his cool tricks for the doctor.
He has been very very healthy. His Laryngo Malasia is pretty much non-existent. Once and a while I will hear the stridor breathing, but it is few and far between. We are so thankful for that. We are keeping an eye on his legs because for some reason he moves his left leg a ton but does not move his right leg much at all. His hip ultrasound was clear so the doctor thinks his leg will come around. Hopefully with time the other leg will catch up.
His hair gets wilder by the day and we love it. His curls come out after bath and they are adorable. And his big gummy smile lights up a room! We are so so blessed! Love you Ellis!

763 parenting
When anyone has the flu in our house they always get some pop to settle their stomache....or just to cheer them up. In this case I let Tatum have it in her bottle. Pop from a bottle. ..how's that for my 763 parenting:)??
Poor little thing.
