2 1/2

Benny boy is 2 and a half.

This age is a hoot.  The things that come out of his mouth are always making us laugh.
There are still several things each day where we have to ask him to repeat it because we did not quite understand him, but most of the time he speaks pretty clearly.  Last night he kept saying "pee-ta it-er".  I had no idea what he was saying until he showed me his "pizza sticker".  Then the lightbulb went on.
  • When we ask him the color of something he always says yellow.  So that must be his favorite color.
  • When we ask him how old he is, he says 5.  When we ask him how old Tatum is, he says one.
  • His favorite foods are raisins (sounds like uvees when he says it), oranges, pineapple, pizza, and his notorious french fries.
  • Blanky and his two puppies are a must have at bedtime.  He calls his black puppy, sparky.
  • He loves to pretend he is cooking food.  But its almost always "too hot" according to him so he makes me wait and blow on it before I eat it.
  • When he talks about me or Pat, he calls us, "My Mommy" and "My Daddy".  He often puts my in front of a lot of things.  I guess that is the first born in him.
  • He is very affectionate.  He often comes up and hugs our legs out of the blue and he loves to sit with one of us when he is watching a show on TV.  He is a snuggler.
  • He has started to occassionally use the big boy potty, even for #2.  Usually it is before bath time after we take his diaper off, if he realized he has to go potty and does not have a diaper on, he will tell us and go in his potty chair.  He is so proud when he does it.
  • He has a funny sense of humor.  He laughs a lot and likes to do "silly things" to get a laugh out of others.
  • He can be quite the actor.  He is a kid of many facial expressions.  If tatum coughs or sneezes and I say bless you, he will fake cough or sneeze so that I say bless you to him too.
  • He LOVES routine.  If you put his coat on and forget to zip it right away, he gets very upset.  He always puts his shoes away in the basket after he takes them off.  Don't get me wrong, he is two and leaves a trail of toys everywhere in this house.  But I find it precious that he already has a sense for organization and order.
  • When we ask him what he wants to pray for each night, he always says GG and papa and papa and  gama (his grandpas and grammas)
  • On weekends when he does not see his cousins at daycare, he always asks me "Wheres Adam"  He loves his buddies.
  • When he sees a school bus he always talks about Kaylee riding the bus.  We don't have the heart to tell him that Kaylee does not even ride the school bus:)

What a precious little boy you are Benny!  Your smile is contagious and you bring our family so much joy!  We love you!
