Our Valentine's Date

We had a very nice Valentine's Day this year. My day started when Pat returned from walking the dogs with a big bouquet of roses, a balloon, a card and some chocolates. What a nice surprise! I had a total blonde moment and put the roses in a vase and never filled it with water. I never noticed all day that they were not in water ....DUH! So the roses were dead by the end of Valentine's Day. Sad!

We have made it a tradition to go to Kozlak's in Shoreview every V Day and so this was our third annual Valentine's Dinner at Kozlaks. It was delicious! Pat orders the same thing every year and I always have trouble deciding between their Sherry Chicken and their Salmon stuffed with shrimp. YUMMM! They always have a steak and lobster sweetheart dinner for two and they always let Pat order it for one instead since I am not a huge lobster fan. He loves it!

This year we went to dinner with Dan and Amy Jordan and Dan and Pat showed up in a similar outfit as usual. It's actually quite comical because pretty much any time we dress up for an event, you can bet pretty safely on the fact that Pat and Dan will unknowingly dress alike. We were at the same wedding as they were on Friday night and yup...again dressed alike....blue shirts and black and yellow ties. It's like they are twins separated at birth.

This was the third Valentine's Day we have shared together (our second Valentine's Day together as a married couple) and I feel very very blessed to have you Pat.....complete with your cupid shuffle and all. I love you Honey.
