Home Alone

Pat has been working in Denver for the past three weeks so I have been trying to keep my self occupied. Dan and Amy have done their fair share of entertaining me with reality TV and feeding me dinner. Jim and Rita have also made sure that I have not felt lonely or gone hungry. And it just so happens that Naomi's husband, Rick, is out of town for work during these same few weeks, so we have kept each other company with some fun-filled girl time. Oddly enough, the three weeks has gone by fairly quickly. I am proud to report that I have even slept at my own house most nights. As many of you know, I do not usually do well when I have to stay home by myself. I really am a big scaredy cat but Hudson has kept me company and I have done pretty well holding down the fort.

Last night was the exception. I was working from home on some stuff and it was getting late and all of a sudden I thought that I heard something downstairs. It totally freaked me out. So I grabbed my purse, quietly whispered for Hudson to follow me to the garage and we both jumped in the car and headed for Jim and Rita's. They were so nice to let me drop in for a last minute slumber party at 11:30 at night....not to mention that they even let me bring the dog along. Jim dutifully came back to the house with me this morning and walked through each room with me to ensure there was nothing to be scared of. Thanks so much Jim! I so appreciated that! Its hard to believe that I am 27 years old:) Right now I am kind of considering another night at their house. I only have a couple nights to go and I would rather not spend it home alone!
