8 Months

My baby is 8 months old.  And man is he cute.

 

He is scooting everywhere. 

He gets up on his knees and rocks back n forth and then drops down to his tummy and reverts to the army crawl.

 

 

His hair is finally filling in!  The sides are now full of little wavy curls, but the tops still has his adorable pile of curls.  Once and a while it catches lint in it. 

 

I definitely have to study up on how to take care of his hair.  I am pretty sure I over wash it and I am making it frizzy.  But either way, his hair is adorable.

 

 

He is a very happy boy. 

He thinks Bennett hung the moon and Bennett thinks he is the coolest baby brother in the World.  It is really sweet to watch their relationship developing.  There is nobody that can get Ellis going like Benny.  Benny knows exactly how to make Ellis laugh!

 

Ellis sits up but doesn't really enjoy it.  He usually opts to tip over and scoot where he wants to go.  If I try to sit him up, he goes stiff as a board and refuses.  Guess sitting really isn't his thing.

 

His strength catches me off guard sometimes. 

Because of his sweet nature, I underestimate him at times and just when I least expect it he GRABS my hair and YANKS it straight out of my head or he grabs what I am holding and rips it out of my hand.  He is a strong little boy.  If he wants it, he is gonna get it.

 

He loves food.  He eats pureed baby food for most meals and especially loves it when I slip in some new table foods.  He really likes avocado, bananas, rice and loved it when I slipped him a little of my yogurt.

 

He is only eating around 6 oz every 3 hours these days. 

I am guessing he has reduced his bottles as he is now eating so much at mealtime.

 

He is starting to outgrow his 6 month clothes and the 9 and 12 month stuff is now stocked in his drawers.

 

He still wears a size three diaper.

 

 

For such a little boy, he has so much sweetness and spirit.  He melts me and I love how he still loves to nuzzle his little face into my neck.  He is a sweet sweet boy and oh how we love him so.
