As soon as we received the call on Thursday afternoon that we were free to go home, Pat booked the next available flight to Dallas. While he was flying down to meet us, my mom and I were busy packing up our life into the car...for about the fifth time since arriving in TX...boy am I glad to be done with all the unpacking, repacking and packing some more. With the Texas heat, we could not leave anything in the car so everywhere we went, everything had to be unpacked. We picked Pat up from the Dallas
Lovefield airport at 8:30 pm on Thursday ready and excited to start the trek home. After 18 hours on the road, we pulled into the driveway at about 3:30 on Friday the 30
th of July. It was so exciting to be home! And to our surprise there was a fantastic homecoming celebration waiting for us...complete with cake, cousins, posters and a brand new room for Ben. How fun!

Picking up Pat at the airport before starting the drive home.
Excited to be on the road headed for home.

Our first family photo a couple minutes after pulling into the driveway. (Reminder: This is after a long LONG drive. Hence the scrubby look.)

A big surprise was waiting for us when we got home. A new room for Ben. Thank you Jordans for this most special gift! Kristin designed and Mike, Dan and Mindy painted Bennett's room while we were driving home. It looks so much better than anything I could have done! We love it!

Jenny made a homemade cake for Ben's homecoming and it even matches his room!

On top of that, Bennett's cousins decorated the house with homemade welcome home posters.
What a special Day!
Love Bennett's new room and the adorable welcome home posters!!! Ben has wonderful cousins and such sweet Aunts and Uncles :)
