Pat and I took a weekend getaway to Las Vegas for our second wedding anniversary and it seems that our dog caused quite the commotion while we were out. Mindy was nice enough to watch Hudson for the long weekend and while we were gone apparently Hudson pulled quite a few stunts. It's just like a kid....she totally pushed every limit to see what she can get away with.
Exhibit A: It is time for bed and Mindy and Kaylee were planning to sleep in our bunk bed room with Hudson on the floor. Mindy hops in the bottom bunk and Kaylee on the top. Hudson continuously bugs Mindy by sitting by the bed and putting her snout up on her....like..."Don't forget about me. Are you guys sure you don't want to play some more? I am not ready for sleep yet." Mindy gets so annoyed by this (as would I) that she hops into the top bunk with Kaylee. She hears a rumble on the bottom bunk and peers down to see whats going on and there Hudson has hopped into the bottom bunk and is all snuggled in and ready to go to sleep. Five minutes later the dog is snoring up a storm on the bottom bunk. So that is how Mindy and Kaylee slept all weekend...they shared the top bunk while Hudson procured the bottom bunk. Too funny....well in hindsight it is funny. I am sure they were not amused as they were being deprived of their sleep by a mute, 80 pound hairy animal. We owe you Mindy!
We had fun with her! She definitely knew that we were suckers though and she got away with a lot more than you two probably would have allowed. My other favorite was her midnight bathroom run......which wasn't actually a bathroom run at all. She wanted to lay down and nap in the backyard instead of the spacious bottom bunk! Two nights in a row! She's a funny dog but we love her!
