First Week

Pat made it through his first week at his new job. He is really liking it and loves his team. I can tell this is going to be a really good change for him! What a blessing.

Church

In church on Sunday evening we were singing "The Lamb of God" before communion and I hear Pat singing.

The words are supposed to be:
"Lamb of God you take away the sins of the World. Have mercy on us."

Pat sings
"Lamb of God you take away the sins of LINDSEY. Have mercy on HER."

Ha Ha very funny. And it was loud enough for all to hear. Public embarassment is becoming a way of life around here.

Loving this weather

We have been good about getting Hudson out for a couple miles of walking a few times of week. A tired dog is a good dog...especially in the winter when she gets stir crazy!! Most of the time Kaylee and Mindy join us on what we call "the loop". We walk south on the trails that run behind our house. Yesterday night and tonight were particularly pleasant....it seems that bundling up for our walks may be a thing of the past! This is really good because I always put warmth before fashion and therefore, I usually looked ridiculous in my boots, facemasks and bright yellow winter coat. Not tonight....just a sweatsheart and workout pants....and Kaylee even busted out her bike. Summer here we come!

Noah's Ark Lands in Kentucky

We were watching TV last night and all of a sudden Pat brought up Noah's Ark. I cannot remember what triggered that topic. But anyways he proceeded to talk about how Noah's Ark had landed in the Appalachian Mountains.

I was starting to giggle a little bit at the thought of Noah's Ark landing in the mountains of Kentucky. And I said, "really, are you sure it landed in the Appalachians....like Kentucky?"

Pat said, "No the Appalachians are in Switzerland."

We both quickly realized that he meant the Swiss Alps and we both erupted with laughter at the thought of finding Noah's ark in the mountains of Tennessee.

After our conversation, I decided to look up Noah's Ark and see where they really believe that it ended up. Come to find out, it was not in Switzerland OR Tennessee but rather in the mountains of Turkey, right on the border of Iran. Go Figure.

Our Teenage Dog

I think Hudson must be entering her teenage years. She used to wake up long before us. Now her new thing is to act really annoyed when we get up and get going in the morning. As soon as we start turning on lights she lets out a big sigh and puts her paw over her face as if to keep the light from her eyes. We get such a kick out of it. I took a little video so you could see it for yourself.

Introducing Liliana Nicole Amdahl

Pat and I are thrilled to introduce you to our new God-Daughter, Liliana Nicole Amdahl. She is cute as a button and is already making her parents very very happy and proud!

Liliana made her grand entrance into this World on February 8th and Kristy and John receieved a call soon after letting them know that her birth-mom had chosen them as her new adoptive family! It did not take them long to hop in the car and make their big trip to Texas to go and meet their beautiful little girl! She officially joined their family on February 22nd. I can hear the absolute joy in their voices and I cannot think of a better family for Liliana. They will be blessings to eachother for the rest of their lives....and us too! We cannot wait to meet her and she has already won over our hearts for sure. Sending our love to Texas!
