An Update from TX

Tatum and I are still in TX waiting for clearance to leave the state.  Pat and Bennett and Rita drove home on Sat so now it is just me at Tatum.  Here are some new pictures of her.  It has been really fun to just spend all of this one on one time with my girl.  Its also so so nice to have friends here while we wait!  I moved myself in with Kristy and John so we don't get lonely.  Hoping I have news that we are coming home soon!

First Bath

Tatum's cord fell off Wednesday, Feb 8th, when she was just two days pat two weeks old.  So we never really had to do any of her cord care.  We brought her home and off it went.  And so that means she got to have a bath and get squeaky clean and smelling good on her first full day with us.  Loving our sweet smelling baby girl!

4 Children, 2 families, 1 Agency and a Pair of Cowboy Boots

Our friends, Kristy and John, were in TX adopting their son from the same agency when we received the call that Tatum was ours.  So we have really enjoyed being in Texas with them and getting to share this super special time with them.  Their daughter Lily is 5 months older than Bennett and he just follows her around and does whatever she does.  He is smitten.  And both of them also came to us through this same agency.  So now that they have a girl and a boy and we have a boy and a girl we have certainly made our share of arranged marriage jokes about our kids this week and we have plenty of pictures for their wedding slideshow someday:)  I just think it will be such a gift to these 4 kiddos to be able to share such a similar beginning.  We took all 4 kids into the agency this week to get their pictures taken with the ladies at the agency.

The same adoption counselor placed Baby Grayson with John and Kristy and also placed Baby Tatum with us.  All in the same week.  She was so busy juggling both of our families at the same time!  It is just so crazy that our placements happened at the same time.

The kiddos with the agency ladies that helped match them to us!
Kristy and John with my future daughter in law and son in law.  Am I pushing to hard?
