Amy's dad was able to dig into the Spring Lake Park football archives and low and behold he found the Irondale vs SLP game from 2001. I was pretty excited about this given I did not know Pat in High School and never got to see him in his football glory:)
So off Pat and I went last night to watch the BIG GAME with Dan and Amy on the big screen.
Here is where the big disappointment comes in......we quickly realized the VHS had been tranferred to the DVD all at once so we had to Fast Forward through an Armstrong game and a Tontino Grace game before watching Irondale take the field. We spent a good 20 minutes in fast forward mode.
Then, as soon as the DVD gets to Irondale....it freezes. We stared at the frozen play for a good ten minutes trying to find Pat in the pile...but it was useless. So there you have it....all that excitement and we only got to see one tackle.
Oh well, I am sure I could just send Pat and Dan out into the backyard in some football jerseys and get a pretty good idea of what the Irondale team was made of:)
